THE ROLE OF A BUILDING SURVEYOR

Many people don’t understand what a building surveyor does or how important their role is in the building industry.

The definition of survey is to look closely.

Quite literally a building surveyors role is to collect information and plans so we can ensure the buildings structural adequacy and the health and amenity of its occupancy. By meeting the relevant Acts, Regulations, Codes and standards.

A lot of the time non-compliances are the result of not knowing or understanding the requirements. A quality Building Surveyor will not only advise you what the issues are but also help you understand them and what is required to resolve the issues.
